Wow, what a response on last month’s article! Based on the number of calls and emails I received regarding the ACH processing I thought I would share some of the more common questions that came in.
A large number of the responses were in relationship to the savings salon owners were seeing by “doing the math”. There is a link on our website www.gohelios.com/math that is being provided in order to calculate actual savings based on each individual salon owners’ personal store data. It’s proven to be a valuable tool that breaks down the savings per month and per year. Salon owners are seeing hundreds, and in many cases thousands, of dollars worth of savings on an annual basis.

I was a typical kid growing up in a middle class town in Illinois and I guess I would say with middle class values. So what does this have to do with tanning? Well, I can remember my dad pointing out a penny lying in the parking lot one crisp spring afternoon while we were walking into the sporting goods store to pick out a new baseball glove for the upcoming season. And I can still recall my response, “Ah yeah…SO?”

Email Marketing – The New “RAGE”

Viagra, pen!s enlargement, meet singles in your area… If you’re like me, you logged into your email account this morning and sifted through your Inbox trying to identify the “good” emails from the SPAM. Sadly, this has become a never ending routine that somehow seems normal to me. Personally I love email since it’s an easy, quick way to stay connected to my family and friends and it’s an even more effective way to keep our customers informed on important company information.

Bar codes are a fast, easy and accurate way of collecting and recording data in retail businesses and are very prominent in most vertical markets; however the tanning industry has historically lagged behind. While some salons have been utilizing bar coding for years and many more have been implementing this technology at an increasingly rapid pace, the majority of salon owners have still not fully automated their inventory process.

Credit Card Processing
